Siggraph Asia 2009 trip day 3

We had to get up early for day 3 to leave for the conference which is at Yokohama (Minatomirai) station.
We then took a few trains to get to Minatomirai station. The trains were damm packed. Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the situation. When we arrived at Minatomirai station, Edmund was having a very bad stomach ache. I bought his luggage and followed him to the toilet in case he crapped on his pants which he didn't. But he stepped on someone else's shit in the cubicle and soiled his jeans. In the end he still have to change his jeans. After which, we went to Intercontinental Grand Yokohama to check in but we could not check in until 2pm and if we waited till 2, we have to miss a few talks. A few of them did not want to miss the talks so they went ahead first and the rest including me waited till the hotel staffs are ready to "Safeguard" our luggages.
We managed to get our conference pass but it had some problems. Problems like names being cut off. Wei Thai's name on the pass was "Teo Thai" and mine was "Izak Hou Yin".

We went and get some lunch at the convenience store. Cheap bentos though. We then went ahead to our talks. I went for a talk on making a tennis game however, it's in Japanese!!! Damm!! I couldn't understand what the speaker was saying but I tried to make out by looking at the chinese characters on the slides. I roughly got what he was trying to say till the part he got to shaders. I totally didn't understand a single thing and fell asleep. Not that I could help it. After which, we went back to the hotel to check in, finally. The rooms in Intercontinental was awesome!! It was so much BIGGER compared to Shinjuku prince. Also, it has an awesome view of the city from the windows!
After which we went for a talk on Pixar's up. But I wasn't really interested in it so I left and went to another talk on making a 3D scanner. Pretty interesting but a lot of university level maths involved in the coding process. However, all a person needs to make a 3d scanner is a camera, projector, some programs and source code and ta-da you got your own scanner for around 300 bucks. Then, I met up with the rest and went walking around the Queens square shopping center. We went to a shop called the Poke center where they sell all the Pokemon stuffs.

After spending an hour or so at the shopping center, we went to get our dinner at the convenience store again.
